Wesley Commons is a Life Plan Community, also known as a Continuing Care Retirement Community (CCRC), and not-for-profit organization offering a full continuum of care. Located on a 150-acre campus in Greenwood, South Carolina, we provide independent living, assisted living, memory support, and skilled nursing services. The community is owned and operated by Wesley Commons, Inc. A volunteer Board of Trustees from the local and regional area determines policy and articulates the vision and mission of Wesley Commons.

The monthly service fee covers a range of amenities and services, including access to the wellness complex, housekeeping, scheduled transportation, and participation in social and recreational activities. You'll have access to facilities like the fitness center, walking trails, pickleball courts, and various community spaces.

Palmetto Place (Assisted Living)

Our assisted living services offer personalized care for residents needing help with daily activities. Trained staff provide support with medication management, personal care, and other essential services while preserving residents' independence.

Jasmine Cottage (Memory Support)

A specialized 12-room memory care neighborhood within our assisted living wing, Jasmine Cottage provides compassionate care for residents with Alzheimer's and dementia. We create a secure, supportive environment focused on meaningful experiences and individual needs. Health and Rehabilitation Center (Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation)

Become A Resident

Wesley Commons offers flexible living arrangements to meet diverse needs. Our campus provides multiple residence options across six unique neighborhoods, including cottages, villas, and apartments. Potential residents can choose from various floor plans and living styles to find the perfect fit for their lifestyle and budget. We recommend speaking directly with our sales team to explore the specific contract options and find the most suitable arrangement for your individual needs.

The residents of Wesley Commons pay a one-time Refundable Entrance Fee upon moving to the community and a Monthly Service Fee for services to be provided. The Entrance Fee assures the residents' use of the community facilities and availability of the services and programs of the community. The continuing care benefit assures each resident lifetime access and use of the facilities and services in the Assisted Living Facility or the Health Care Center, if needed. The Entrance Fee varies depending on the type and size of residence and the entrance fee option selected.

The 50% Standard Refund Option: The refund is based on 95% of the Entrance Fee, less 1% per month for each of the 6th through 50th months of occupancy. The refund is never less than 50%, nor greater than 95% of the original Entrance Fee paid.

The 90% Refund Option: The refund is based on 95% of the Entrance Fee, less 1% per month for each of the 6th through 10th months of occupancy. The refund is never less than 90%, nor greater than 95% of the original Entrance Fee paid.

With either refund option, a resident may use the refund as a credit against healthcare expenses in the event of a permanent transfer to the Assisted Living, Special Care House, or Health Care Center.

The Monthly Service Fee entitles residents of Wesley Commons to enjoy the following services, programs, common areas, and amenities:

  • Thirty (30) meals on average per month
  • Special diets and tray service, if resident is ill
  • All utilities including electricity, water, sewer, standard television hook-up, and basic cable service, trash removal, and standard municipal services. (The resident is responsible for telephone charges.)
  • Weekly housekeeping services to include dusting, vacuuming, and cleaning of residence
  • Weekly linen service of resident's bed and bath linens
  • Full maintenance of the community's facilities, appliances, and buildings
  • Maintenance of lawns, trees, landscaped areas, and parking areas
  • Secure, lighted parking areas
  • Activities including social, recreational, spiritual, educational and cultural opportunities, arts and crafts, bridge, computer lab, lifelong learning, fitness groups, gardening clubs, and other special interest programs
  • Transportation for residents on a regular, scheduled basis for doctor and medical appointments, shopping, and activities
  • On-campus health care featuring emergency care, assisted living, skilled and intermediate nursing care, and specialized care for dementia-related disorders
  • Wellness department for consultations, screenings, education, and appointments

The Monthly Service Fee varies according to the size of the residence. An additional Monthly Service Fee is charged for a second person occupying the residence.

Monthly Service Fees are reviewed annually by the Board of Trustees and management and may be adjusted based on actual operating costs. Wesley Commons strives to maintain its costs at the lowest feasible level consistent with sound financial practices. Historically, cost-plus amenity-based annual increases approximate the average annual cost of living expenses that are commensurate for our services within our geo-economic region. A 30-day written notice is provided to all residents in advance of any increase.

Wesley Commons is committed to ensuring no resident is ever asked to leave if they outlive their financial resources. Our benevolence program, supported by donations from residents and fundraising efforts, helps provide financial assistance to residents facing unexpected challenges. This program reflects our core values of compassion and community, allowing residents to maintain their dignity and continue enjoying life at Wesley Commons, regardless of their changing financial circumstances.

Home Care

Home Care services are available to residents on our campus who need flexible healthcare options while aging in place.

Our licensed Home Health services team works closely with your primary care physician to develop an appropriate care plan for your needs.

Home Care is part of our commitment to providing flexible healthcare options within our full continuum of care. It allows residents to receive support while remaining in their current residence, complementing our other care options including assisted living, memory support, and skilled nursing.

As an on-campus service integrated with our overall healthcare approach, our Home Care team has the advantage of coordinating seamlessly with other Wesley Commons services and amenities, creating a comprehensive support system for residents.
