Enjoying the Carolina’s climate, rarely a day goes by that outdoor activities — ranging from a game of golf to gardening — cannot be enjoyed. Nearby are Lake Greenwood, the Newberry Opera House and the historic theater in Abbeville. Lander University’s Fine Arts Series and Greenwood’s own Community Theater add to a lively cultural climate. The larger metropolitan areas of Greenville/Spartanburg and Columbia are a little more than an hour away. And, within a morning’s drive, you can sun on the South Carolina coast or hike the mountains of North Carolina or Georgia.
